I’m Natalie. In 2014, I founded Proximity with the aim of solving real problems, starting with something very close to my heart.
My mum has cared for people with dementia for around 15 years. Over the years she has shared many stories with me and in doing so highlighted a real issue when caring for someone with dementia; that they might simply wander off.
MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Currently, products available to help with wandering are the same as they were 7 years ago: archaic and expensive. The most suitable products available rely on GPS and so unearth a breadth of issues from high purchasing and subscription costs to ethics and privacy.
It amazes me that there is still no credible solution to this ever-present problem. That is until now.
